Chuck Bashian - Founder (December 9, 1927 - June 10, 2002) Chuck had been associated with trade publications for over 30 years. He was a former publisher of five magazines. He was a member and past president of the Society of National Association Publications (SNAP), a past executive director and president of Associated Purchasing Publications, and a member of the National Association of Publishers' Representatives (NAPR), and the Business Marketing Association. He received his degree from Kent State University where he was a journalism major. Alison Bashian - President Alison Bashian's more than 24 years experience in the magazine industry encompasses extensive work with trade and association publications including: editing, production management, advertising and exhibit sales, marketing planning and running her own sales and marketing business. She currently directs a sales staff that regularly meets or exceeds sales goals for its clients. Prior to leading Bashian & Associates, Inc. Alison ran her own home-based advertising sales firm for 11 years, and earlier worked as Advertising Supervisor for the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM). She also held editorial and production positions at Penton Publishing on Material Handling Engineering (now Material Handling Management) and Government Product News. Bolstering her career is her experience as the president of the Society of National Association Publications (SNAP) Washington, D.C. Chapter and a myriad of charitable volunteer positions. Along with her work background, Alison brings her enthusiasm for working with people and selling the "association advantage."

Her role has since expanded to include database management and the coordination of considerable prospecting for our office. She has extensive computer knowledge, a professional manner and an eye for detail. E-mail: annm@bashian.com Marianne Juliana Marianne rejoined Bashian & Associates, Inc. on a part-time basis after a maternity leave. She has been with the company for more than 14 years. Marianne is an extremely organized and detail-oriented person who can manage any project. Previously our Sales Representative and Account Manager, she now sells her prior publications and serves as sales support for our staff. She received her business degree from Kent State University.
